YEU/PSAC is calling on all members to support CUPW workers on strike.
There are different ways we can show support:
- Join the picket line at 300 Range Road, Whitehorse, and stand shoulder to shoulder with CUPW members.
- Sign e-petition 6806 calling for an investigation into Canada Post’s finances and the modernization of their services, open for signature until November 18th.
- Contact your MP with the CUPW easy click to sign letter, adding your support for protecting public postal services across Canada.
- And ask your neighbor if they know who handles their parcels and deliveries? Just like it's important to buy local, buy Canadian, we need to be discerning about the services we select.
YEU/PSAC members are expected to follow the strike protocol (click me).
Next Steps
YEU/PSAC must respect CUPW picket lines and must not do the work of CUPW members.
CUPW workers are paid, trained, and have the necessary equipment to do their work safely.
Doing work you are not trained to do is putting yourself at risk and breaking the strike protocol.
If your employer is asking you to deliver mail or cross a picket line, please reach out to us immediately.
We are here to support and protect you.
This is a critical moment for labour solidarity in Yukon. Let’s show CUPW Local 852 that they are not alone—and that Yukon unions will always rise to defend public services, workers’ rights, and community well-being.
